Set of 3 atsu nomi

Description

Set of 3 very little used atsu nomi, framer chisels with thick neck and blades. Red oak handles, blacksmith finish, Kuro ura. They arrived badly set up and the bevels were not straight and way too flat. I set the bevels at 25° and straightened them, flattened the backs to an acceptable state without ruining the ura. They take a very keen edge and they are very easy to sharpen. They’ll make a very good every day user set. 15, 24 and 36mm blades approx 300mm long. Stamped Masamichi
