Lovely set of 10 used mortice chisels, all but one made by previous generation Ouchi in Miki city. Very sought after tools from a highly regarded blacksmith. A very rare set of mukomachi which belonged to a Japanese carpenter now passed away. I have done most of the restoration on these. The previous owner had a hollow ground bevel which is still visible but it will grind away with regular sharpening. Quite common on this type of tools. The set includes 1.5, 3, 4, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 10.5 and 12mm mukomachi and a 17×4.5mm uchinuki nomi (strike through chisel). An opportunity to purchase a set of usually expensive tools at a very affordable price.
