Pair of bench chisels 54+60mm

Lovely pair of wider bench chisels 54 and 60mm in an owner made wooden box. I have sympathetically restored them as far as making them usable without ruining the overall look and balance. The 60mm had a very short handle therefore I installed a new old stock red oak handle with hammered hoops and changed the hoop on the 54mm to match. I have flattened the back as much as it was necessary, performed uradashi on the 60mm, reset the bevels as they were too flat in my opinion. You might just want to add extra polishing to your liking. Sharpened on Japanese natural stones. I can make up the kanjii on the blades therefore I can’t give any info on the maker. The steel is hard and takes a very keen edge, typical of white steel laminated to very old soft iron (you can see the layers in one of the photos). Rare sizes not included in standard sets and usually only custom made.
