A rare opportunity to purchase a tool made by one of the best Japanese blacksmiths ever lived, Shimamura Kozaburo, better known for his brand name Kiyotada. His forged carbon steel is believed to be one of the toughest ever forged and to take a very keen edge. It’s an old tool and very well used and price will reflect condition, nevertheless fantastic user. Good conditions, a little putting but way back from the cutting edge and fairly light, good hollow ground, charcoal forged, original red oak handle, probably around half of the blade left, so still plenty of life left in it. 176mm overall length
